Hull Repairs

Our hull repairs cover the renewal of damaged hull plating above and below water and can be temporary or permanent repairs (according to the circumstances) caused by impact or stress.

These repairs follow the Hydrex procedure for welding cracks in the vessel's shell plating when afloat by using an external mobdock and they are approved by the major classification societies. Our WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) is approved by the attending surveyor. No condition of class imposed.

Crack Repairs - Permanent repairs with insert.

• Cracks, holes, corrosion, cavitation underneath suction pipes can all be repaired.
• Repairs follow the Hydrex procedure for welding of inserts in vessel's shell plating when afloat by using external cofferdam.
• Impact damage repairs.
• Approved by the major classification societies.
• Carried out by certified welders.
• WPS approved by the attending surveyor.
• No condition of class imposed.

Temporary repairs

These are done on an immediate basis in order to save time for the ship owner until the ship can get to a better location or period in its schedule to have more time-consuming or appropriate, permanent, repairs. It keeps the ship on schedule.

• Cracks, holes, corrosion and cavitation underneath suction pipes can all be repaired.
• We can provide a wide range of solutions including the use of epoxies, patches, inserts and cement boxes.
• Work is carried out by certified welders.
• WPS approved by the attending surveyor.

Emergency repairs

After collision, grounding or any other unfortunate emergency conditions we can carry out emergency repairs which would enable the vessel to sail to a place where longer lasting temporary or permanent repairs will be carried out.

Pipe repairs

Overboard or seawater intake lines can be repaired permanently by using Hydrex approved procedures for hull repairs afloat using external cofferdams. No condition of class imposed.

Stabilizer repairs

Depending on what is required, seal replacement, renewal and also repair in the dry with the aid of cofferdams is possible.
